Henk Smid will step down as CEO of the Variass Group on January 1st 2024. Fortunately, all of his knowledge and experience will remain available to us, because he will take an active role in the supervisory board of Variass and its sister company, AME.
The management team and all Variass employees would like to thank Henk Smid for his vision and tireless commitment to Variass. Over the 35 years, of which the last 25 years that Henk Smid has led the organization, we have grown into a successful, high-quality, and technological organization with great added value to the customer. Henk Smid announced his decision to step aside some time ago. As a result, together we were able to achieve optimal implementation, and there was room for a careful transfer.

Reinier Beltman will become the new CEO of the Variass Group. Variass’ current management team will, as has been the case for several years, provide daily management. The current Operations Manager, Nico van der Dussen, will move on as General Manager and act as the first point of contact.
